Bebe Rexha and David Guetta: “One in a Million”
“One in a Million” is not the first time Bebe Rexha and David Guetta have worked together. Their previous collaboration, the Grammy-nominated, “I’m Good (Blue),” was released a little over a year ago. It climbed to the top of the charts. This new track is a banging club masterpiece with an uplifting message, an intoxicating hook, and a rousing melody. Guetta’s ever-cascading kaleidoscopic grooves create a mesmerizing soundscape of stimulating sonic colors that support Rexha’s resplendent vocals with a spectacular sparkle. Because the two artists create such musical magic together, the anthem has already amassed over 45 million streams.
Fun fact: Recently, Bebe became the only artist ever to have 50-week No. 1s on both Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and Hot Country Songs charts.

Madeline Lauer: “Lucky”
Madeline Lauer’s voice is a provocative whisper. And her art has always been about more than the song. While a few things in her life have changed, her latest single, “Lucky,” reveals that her artistic integrity is as strong as ever.
“When I became a mom, priorities changed for me drastically,” Madeline told Entertaining Options. “I really tried to cling to parts of my pre-mommy life, but things just weren’t aligning the same. Instead of feeling incredibly sad about all the change, I began to embrace it. But trust me, it was a slow burn.”
Lauer eventually made it to a place where she just wanted to work hard to be successful doing the things she loved. Although she’s always been driven, having a daughter forced her to tighten her focus and attack her goals with even greater determination.
“I have a daughter to take care of and no time to waste. Not a second of it. ‘Lucky’ is a nod to all of this.”
Catch me out?
You’d be so lucky.
Touch me now?
You’d be so lucky.
Do it for clout?
Nah, I’m not you, buddy.
“I’m keeping my head down and continuing to pursue all that fills me up in the most healthy, positive, and fulfilling ways.”

The video for “Lucky” is also a nod to Madeline’s love for cinema. All the people who worked on and appeared in the video are her friends. The director, Rawan Hage, like Madeline, is a multi-talented visionary. Previously, the two collaborated on an intriguing short called “Other People.”
“Although ‘Lucky’ feels a bit nighttime and sexy,” Lauer noted, “I wanted to be ‘working’ somewhere in the video. I needed somewhere fun that could tell a story bigger than me, with different characters who all had their own storyline. I wanted this to feel like a movie.”
Madeline found a “really cute liquor store with a vintage aesthetic” on Peerspace. She immediately knew it was the perfect location.
“My aesthetic has always been vintage ambiguous with a ’70s flare. So, naturally, that’s the style we went with. The project took on a life of its own. It has to be my favorite video to date.”
In closing, Madeline promised that more stories from the “Lucky” universe would be coming soon.

JVKE: “this is what space feels like”
JVKE’s newest single, “this is what space feels like,” is out. If you aren’t familiar, the artist doesn’t really get bogged down in overthinking. For example, when it came time to come up with his collab name, Jake just turned the A upside down. Why? Because his single was called “Upside Down.” Likewise, JVKE has several songs with the same title structure: “this is what [BLANK] feels like.” Depending on the track, the blank could be filled in with an emotion, a season, or some other word or concept.
Jake and his brother, Zac, have a gift that allows them to connect with listeners on a level that transcends words and music. Each track is a vibe that creates a special moment. Last year, their song, “Golden Hour,” became an international hit.
Fun fact: “This is what space feels like” is featured in the ad campaign for the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones. The headphones use the new Bose Immersive Audio that inspired the song.

The Rolling Stones : “Sweet Sounds Of Heaven” Feat. Lady Gaga & Stevie Wonder
This week, The Rolling Stones released the second single from the upcoming Hackney Diamonds. The song is called “Sweet Sounds of Heaven,” and it features Stevie Wonder on Fender Rhodes, Moog, and piano along with a bravura vocal performance by Lady Gaga. The anthemic gospel tune began with Mick Jagger playing around with a C, F, and Bb chord progression on a piano in his London home. Keith Richards helped Jagger finish the song.
“Sweet Sounds of Heaven” was recorded in three studios: Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles; Metropolis Studios in London; and Sanctuary Studios in Nassau, Bahamas. Grammy Award-winning producer Andrew Watt was the one who invited Stevie Wonder and Lady Gaga to work on the track.
Playing with The Stones was not a first for either guest artist. Stevie toured with the band back in 1972 and regularly performed a medley of “Satisfaction” and “Uptight (Everything’s Alright).” Lady Gaga joined The Stones on stage in 2012 for a performance of “Gimme Shelter.”
Hackney Diamonds will be released on October 20 through Geffen Records. The tracklist includes: “Angry,” “Get Close,” “Depending on You,” “Bite My Head Off,” “Whole Wide World,” “Dreamy Skies,” “Mess It Up,” “Live By the Sword,” “Driving Me Too Hard,” “Tell Me Straight,” “Sweet Sounds of Heaven,” and “Rolling Stone Blues.”
