Kendrick Lamar: “Squabble Up”
On November 22, Kendrick Lamar released GNX. Three days later, he dropped this mind-blowing video. “Squabble Up” is a history lesson and a celebration of the culture that this iconic artist embraces. It has an abundance of Easter eggs and callbacks which will undoubtedly spawn a plethora of “10 Things You Missed” type videos and articles. But before you do a deep dive on hidden (and not-so-hidden) meanings, just appreciate the artistry.

JoJo Siwa Confesses Her Love Affair with “Iced Coffee”
JoJo Siwa is on a journey to discover who she is and express that through her creativity. What makes her special is the number of people she has connected with by sharing her experiences — JoJo has nearly 70 million followers! The dancer/TV star has become a multi-platinum sensation and found success in pretty much every endeavor she has tried. Her latest release, “Iced Coffee,” is an infectious bop overflowing with hyper-caffeinated joy. On the surface, it might draw comparisons to her “Boomerang” days, but a closer listen to the lyrics reveals a grown-up addiction.
You’d Better Watch Out, Santa Claus Is Coming for Your Soul!
Does spelling count? When you’re writing a letter to Santa, it does. Because if you put just one letter in the wrong place, you aren’t reaching out to jolly old St. Nicholas, you’re summoning Old Scratch! Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happens to Liam Turner (Robert Timothy Smith). Instead of sharing his wish list with “The Man with All the Toys,” Liam makes a deal that could cost him his eternal soul. And the devil (Jack Black) isn’t keen on letting the poor unfortunate boy out of his contract.
“Dear Santa” is available on Paramount Plus. Although the dialog might contain a little bit of grown-up language, and some story elements might not be suitable for young children, it is a genuine feel-good holiday flick. If you’re curious how that’s possible, give it a watch.
