Breakups, stalkers, kidnappers, and serial killers… Lifetime has ’em all this fall. The premier entertainment destination for women is celebrating 40 years of original programming with six brand new films in its “Ripped from the Headlines” movie slate. The films feature tense storytelling and notable stars including Heather Locklear, Ana Ortiz, Lyndsy Fonseca, Jackie Cruz, Sheila E., Karrueche Tran, and more. Premiers air on Saturdays at 8pm/7c starting on Oct. 5.

The Girl Who Wasn’t Dead
Inspired by true events, The Girl Who Wasn’t Dead is about 15-year-old Erica (Emma Tremblay) who vanishes without a trace. Authorities think she might be the victim of a local serial killer, but her mother, Carrie (Lydnsey Fonseca) refuses to believe her daughter is gone forever.

Eighteen years later, their daughter, now named Katie (Matreya Scarrwener), wants to rejoin the family. The reunion has dark and potentially deadly consequences.
