Makenzie Phipps is a country artist who makes a promise to you on her latest single. She says, “You bring the beer and I’ll bring the noise.” And, of course, by “noise,” Makenzie means she’ll be singing her new, rowdy, country party-tune with as much twang as Chet Atkins’ six-string.
Phipps is blessed with a homegrown voice that gives you all the feels when she sings “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a ballpark. She also has a wry and nimble vocal grace that provides an excellent soundtrack for a honky-tonk two-step.
Makenzie’s latest single, “You Bring the Beer (I’ll Bring the Noise),” was written by her back-up singer/guitarist, Shane Begley. It was produced by Sal Oliveri who has worked on songs by numerous country luminaries, including Chris Stapleton, Jo Dee Messina, and Keith Urban.
For Phipps, music is not just a vibe, it’s a way of living. According to her interview on RFD TV, the country artist has been singing since she was 4 years old. She was born and raised in Bluefield, Virginia, a small town nestled along the Bluestone River in Tazewell County that has a population of just over 5,000. “You Bring the Beer (I’ll Bring the Noise)” talks about how her upbringing, which was filled with hometown community support, made her the artist (and the person) she is today.

Musically, Makenzie’s country roots go deep. She is inspired by legends, such as Loretta Lynn, George Jones, and Tammy Wynette. She enjoys singing the songs of anyone who helped pave the way for country music because that’s what she grew up on.
Whether it’s festivals, country fairs, bonfires, or tailgates, this small-town artist with city dreams is making a slow-and-steady climb to stardom. Here’s where you can see her live through October and beyond.
